I was wandering through a massive store the other day and realized how inaccessible the exit was. Without thinking, I asked a worker how to get out of there. A few minutes later I realized how natural the words came out. It doesn't sound like much, but it made me so happy because usually I piece together my sentences and rehearse them in my head

I remember once when I went to Germany with Katelyn, I tried to ask a woman in this massive department store where the bathrooms were. She responded in English and my heart sank. The last summer when I was in Germany, I was at the UBahn train station and needed to ask for directions, all of the responses were in German. I know this moment!!
