tOFU template and release form

Hi folks! How are your comics coming along? You have 7 days left. Dun dun dunnnn... :3

Page template
Since a couple people have asked, I've put together a reeeeallly simple template to help with the page dimensions and safe border. If you already understand all this stuff, just skip ahead to the next paragraph. :3 If not, then you're welcome to use the template to help you out. You are not required to have the 0.5" border line on your page. It's just there to tell you where the safe border is so you can make sure that nothing important is placed outside it (eg. speech bubbles, character's heads, etc.) It may look like a lot of space, but it's not... because we need the space for page numbering and to allow for the binding seam. Generally, I just draw my comic framed within the safe border but some people might want the page background to bleed off. (The template is made with Photoshop CS1, so it should be compatible for most people I hope.)

Release Forms
The other thing is that because many artist alleys are now getting very picky (dare I say anal?) about their rules, we now have to get everyone to sign a release form which basically authorizes anyone from our group to sell your artwork in tOFU on your behalf (which is what we've been doing all along, since not every contributor is present at every convention we attend.) Anyhow, I've noodled around with the quasi-legalese and I think this release form should cover everything we could possibly need. Hopefully we will never have to show them to anyone, but just in case we'll be bringing a stack of printouts with us wherever we go.

You have two ways of filling it out:
a) If you don't have a tablet, print out the .pdf on real paper, fill out and sign the form with a pen, and then scan it back in.

OR
b) If you have a tablet, open the .jpg in Photoshop, "fill out" and "sign" the form using your tablet and the brush tool (2-3pt is good, make sure smoothing is turned on your brush).

Either way, please remember to include it with your comic page/illustration email/uploads or we'll have to chase after you. Maybe with a frying pan. XD

If there are any questions about anything at all, feel free to post here or email Jen (jlunar at gmail dot com) or myself (erikochan08 at gmail dot com).

Happy drawing! :3

PS. If anyone needs a gmail account, let us know and we'll send you an invite.
