Chapter 1: The Beginning
Jino stared at the sight in front of him in awe. Even though it was an apartment, it was very spacious. But everything was so plain. The couches were a pale blue, the carpets were all white with nonexistent stains, and the television was a flat screen sitting on the wall. He slipped out of his shoes and stepped into the living room, dropping his suitcases on the floor.
Kyuhyun stumbled into the apartment, dropping the boxes he was carrying. “Why did you pack so much?” he growled out, wiping his forehead. He closed the door behind him and locked it, letting out a small sigh.
“This place is huge!” Jino yelled out, going from room to room. He poked his head out of Kyuhyun’s bedroom door, his face flushed. “Ah…H-hyung, where am I sleeping?” he asked nervously.
Kyuhyun smirked and leaned against the front door. “You’ll be sleeping with me. If we’re going to be married, we have to start by getting used to each other.”
Jino blushed brighter, nodding his head hesitantly. He stepped out of the room and walked over to Kyuhyun, his head down the whole time. He picked up his suitcases and began to make his way back to the room, but a hand on his wrist stopped him. He looked up at the person in question.
Kyuhyun slipped a ring on his finger and smiled. “We match now.” He said, holding his own ring finger up. Jino looked down at his own finger, staring at the ring in wonder. It was a gold ring, etched inside were the words “Cho Kyuhyun’s wife.”
He groaned and resisted the urge to hit the other. “Why is this etched inside?” He mumbled, putting the ring back on. Kyuhyun smirked and turned away from him, heading into the kitchen to get some water.
“We have to be up early tomorrow, so let’s start unpacking all your things and putting them away.” He said, putting his cup in the sink.
Jino nodded, not really paying attention to the other. Kyuhyun noticed this and did not like it. He walked over to the boy, grabbed him by the waist, and kissed him thoroughly.

Today started out awkward and unexpected for Jino. He had been woken up by Kyuhyun’s alarm going off, the other still sleeping through it. He sat up and rubbed his eyes sleepily. He pushed Kyuhyun’s shoulders, causing him to grunt and glare at him.
“Get up, the alarm went off.” He murmured, throwing the covers off of himself. He walked to the bathroom, stumbling a few times. He grabbed a towel and some clothes before closing the door behind him.
Kyuhyun buried his head into his pillow drifting off for a few minutes. He sat up in shock when cold air reached his legs. “I said get up, not stay in bed.” Jino said, leaving the room with the covers still in his arms. He grumbled and crawled out of bed, grabbing a towel and making his way to the bathroom.
Jino sat at the kitchen table, staring off in space. His face was completely blank. He looked down at his finger, the ring catching his attention. Kyuhyun caught him just like that, staring at the ring around his finger. He snorted and grabbed a bowl, pouring some cereal into it. “Eat something before we leave.”
Jino looked over at him, surprised etched on his face. He grabbed an apple out of the fruit bowl in front of him and took a bite. “Satisfied?” he said, taking another bite.
Kyuhyun narrowed his eyes and sat across from him, shoving a spoonful of cereal into his mouth. “Very.” He muttered. They sat in silence, the only sounds were the clinking of Kyuhyun’s spoon against the bowl and Jino’s biting into the apple.
Jino stood up first and grabbed his bag, slinging the strap over his shoulder. He turned to Kyuhyun and watched him wash his bowl out before putting it away. Kyuhyun raised an eyebrow and grabbed his own backpack. “Ready?” he said, grabbing his keys and opening the door for the younger boy to leave first.

The moment they reached the school, girls were staring at the car in anticipation. Jino grimaced and unbuckled his seatbelt. Kyuhyun watched him in fascination, smiling. “Jino.” He said and the other looked at him, his eyes unreadable.
“What?” he replied, his hand already on the door handle. Kyuhyun grabbed his hand and entwined their fingers together, placing a soft kiss to the back of it.
His face flushed and he pulled his hand away, opening to car door. He regretted it in an instant because the second his door opened, girls flocked to the car squealing and screaming. He turned to Kyuhyun, silently asking for help. Kyuhyun shrugged and opened his door, stepping out of the car easily.
Jino glared at his back and attempted to get out the car again, only to fail. He looked up in surprise when Kyuhyun grabbed his arm and pulled him out. Silence ensued and he felt his face flush again. He put his head down and grabbed Kyuhyun’s hand.
He could feel all of the glares from the girls and small amount of boys. He willed himself to keep calm and followed Kyuhyun onto the campus. “I don’t understand why the whole school likes you.” He muttered, running his fingers through his hair shakily.
Kyuhyun shrugged his shoulders, looking straight ahead. He stopped and turned to him. Jino looked up at him, a questioning look gracing his face. “The whole school but you like me. Starting today, you will only call me Kyuhyun. No hyung or any other formal thing. Starting today, you’re my fiancé.” He said, kissing his cheek.
Jino blushed brightly and mumbled to himself. He left the other and made his way to class, his face still flushed. Once he reached class, he dropped into his seat and laid his head against the cool surface.
“Man, where were you yesterday? I thought we had plans!” he heard someone yell to him. He shut his eyes, wishing a hole could suddenly swallow him. He sat up and faced his friend, glad that his face was no longer red.
“Jonghyun hyung, something happened yesterday… Something that could make me the target of this whole school now.” He said, placing his arms on the desk.
Jonghyun snorted and sat on top of the desk in front of him. “What could possibly make you a target to this school? Does it have something to do with that Cho Kyuhyun person?”
Jino stiffened and Jonghyun knew he got it. “Oh no…What happened?” he said, almost yelling it out.
Jino looked around and noticed a couple of people were already inside. He also noticed when two girls glared at him as they took their seats. He slumped into his seat. “I got home yesterday and he was there, with his dad. Um…our dads decided that,” he lowered his voice at this point, “we have to get married in order for our debt to be settled.”
Jonghyun’s eyes widened his mouth gaping open. “Y-you? Married?! To him?!” he yelled out. Jino glared at him and he lowered his voice. “Because of a debt, you two are now getting married…Are you okay with this, man?”
Jino looked away from him, his face turning red again. “Well…”
Jonghyun groaned. “You’re kidding me right?!” he said exasperatedly.
“I moved into his apartment last night…He…We…” he put his head down again, his face flushed in embarrassment.
“You what?”
“We kissed.” He mumbled, really wishing he could disappear again.
“You kissed?! Jino!” he yelled out.
“I know!” he said, looking up at him.
They went quiet once the professor entered the room and he knew they weren’t done talking.

“I heard you and your friend were arguing this morning.” Kyuhyun said the minute they got into the car.
Jino turned to him just as he put his bag on the ground. “Yeah, what about it?” he mumbled, turning back to go through his bag.
“It was about me, wasn’t it?” he said getting straight to the point.
Jino stiffened but tried to play it off by continuing what he was doing. “He doesn’t like it.” He said, putting the bag down and staring out the window.
“Why not? I’m nice enough.” Kyuhyun said, causing Jino to laugh. He felt his mouth twitch.
He shrugged. “He’s never liked anyone I was with. This is something he can’t control now so he doesn’t like it.”
Kyuhyun faced him and saw the blank look in his eyes. He gently grabbed Jino’s chin and made him look at him. “I’ll try to live up to his standard then.” He murmured and leaned forward, placing a lingering kiss on the other’s lips.
