Michael Moore, author of Bowling for Columbine, recentlywon the top award for his documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 at the Cannes Film Festival. Mirimax Films, who originally agreed to distribute the film to the United States, backed out amidst the political controversy surrounding the film. I hope we get to see this before the election. First of all, I am a liberal democrat who bashes Bush with the best of 'em and pretty much offends the religious right as often as possible... and yet, I truly believe that Michael Moore is a PROPAGANDIST. Seriously - his logical links are weak and his "facts" are presented with very SOFT evidence and made more to provoke an emotional response. I like emotion and all - but I don't like it mixed up with my politics. Not that the two are mutually exclusive, but he has a tendency to annoy me more than inform me... and those less informed might be susceptible to believe all his claims without investigating how much truth there actually is to them. He's an extremist, and because of this, he's no more in my embrace than extreme conservative dipshits who want to outlaw abortion.

Remember - even people who agree with your point of view may have their facts WRONg, and you have to investigate for yourself before you can really be sure.
