[Very careful, painfully slow block capitals.

Seven's handwriting isn't slower than usual, but he did stop and think about things a bit more before he replied. Something about the name and the request for a library strikes him as familiar.]

Welcome to Edensphere, Soul. The journals will be the best way to get information.

[She stares at the reply, raising an eyebrow at the deliberate block capital letters. For some reason, she almost feel exasperated, but she shakes it off.]

Thank you, that's what I figured once they were explained. Can you tell me about the jobs available here?

My brother is in Housekeeping, and I'm in the Adventurers. Housekeeping is fairly self-explanatory, and the Adventurers are involved in reconnaissance and mapping of the islands and the Wilderness.

[In-person communication is much easier for Seven, but he doesn't want (her? him?) Soul to feel pressured to talk to him.]

Can you tell me some more about the Adventurers? [It sounds active, and that's what she wants.] Do any of the jobs involve finding out more about our memories?

Where are the islands and wilderness? Are they nearby? How big is this place? I haven't had much chance to look around yet but it seems like a lot of people are here.

[After a pause.] I'm sorry about all of the questions, I just need to know as much as possible.

Soul is a lovely choice for a name. Welcome; I'm Simon.

Unfortunately, there's no one source of information about Edensphere. Not much is known about how the place works, even to those of us who have been here a long time.

It was-[...]it stuck out to me. Thank you. Nice to meet you Simon.

No one here has compiled books or put any notes together or anything? [Now she's going to be going around and doing that.]

I could always use help at the candy shop!

There's a candy shop? [For some reason, she hadn't expected that.]

There is! A good friend of mine and I started it it up a while ago.

That sounds neat, maybe I can stop by some time this week. I don't think I know anything about working in a candy shop though. What kind of work do you do there? Do you actually make the candy?

Welcome, Soul! There are many jobs. What do you think you might like to do? And I am sorry, but you will not find a place with information on this world. There is a bookstore with many other types of books, though! And I can maybe help with some of your questions!

Thanks for the welcome. I've heard a little about The Adventurers and that sounds like something that interests me. Is there anything else active like that? I'm don't want a desk job.

Can you tell me where the bookstore is?

How rude of them! spandexisyouth April 16 2011, 21:48:44 UTC
I do not think there are any desk jobs, unless you wind up doing paperwork for the Watch or the Adventurers. The Guard can be active, though a lot of the time they are watching over the Hatchery. The Watch protects the people and helps out too. Then there are many other jobs, like Housekeeping, which is very active, or journal making, which is not all that active.

The bookstore is in the Bazaar! It has a large sign and can be spotted from when you enter into the Bazaar.

indeed! togana_keiri April 16 2011, 22:08:09 UTC
How does the Watch protect people? [Protecting people sounds like what she'd want to do. It sounds right.]

Thank you, I think I'll go and take a look at it later on.

Welcome to Edensphere! It's a bit of a confusing place, but you'll get your bearings! I'm Kagerou, and I'm pleased to meet you.

Thanks Kagerou, it's nice to meet you too. Have you been here long?

A year and a half. I suppose that is a lot by the standards of this place. And I see you've got a good part of the information question answered! The crystals are called memory crystals.

[The following is carefully struck out as soon as Kagerou sees a reply begin.]

You can find them, well, almost anywhere. They look like little gemstones set in a metal wire frame.

That's such a long time...Is there anyway to leave?

[She raises an eyebrow but then doesn't ask about the crystals.]
