Oooh, I don't really have an original idea here LOL But I suggest you get your community on LJ spotlight, so people see it on the LJ HOME page for a whole week! The other suggestions are the usual; post a preview to your artwork in other communities, collect affiliates, maybe think about a full-on sistership with other big communities as a resource for artsy stuff etc.
I'll gladly link to your community :) Of course I'm going to upload the banner to my own photobucket :D

Awww, thanks for the lovely response and for helping us promote, Natascha (gorgeous anme, BTW)! I've been trying to get us spotlighted, but no luck so far.
