I have been reading people's post about last night's episode of SPN and I have to say that I didn't like it. I HATED that episode.
It wasn't good, and I DO NOT like how they depicted GOD. Ever heard "He may not come when you want Him, but He'll be right there on time"? That's what is going to happen, God is going to show up right when He knows, and not when someone else thinks He should.
I mean seriously, that episode made me HATE Sam even more. How can the brother that raised you, not be in any of your happy memories???? I felt for Dean when he realized that and that is when I knew that Sam does not deserve Dean. Sam does not deserve someone who loves him so unconditionally as Dean does. I am also sooo confused by the whole soulmates thing. Obviously if its true then they are platonic soulmates, but God could have wanted them to be together while in heaven. I don't know but that part was a little sketch to me. I think Kripke has been reading fanfic.
I did love the scene between Dean and Mary. I loved how he said " Dad loves you, I love you, I will never leave you" that was the MOST heartfelt thing EVER said on SPN. I also LOVED Jensen's acting in the whole episode. He has done an AMAZING job this season and he needs to get so many other acting jobs in other movies that can REALLY put him on the map. Dean is my absolute favorite character on SPN and that was the only thing this episode did. It made me love Dean even more. I still stand by my decision in thinking that "The Song Remains the Same" is the best episode of this season. That is my favorite episode of the show right now. "Dark Side of the Moon" just sucked for me and when I buy the DVD set I probably won't even watch it. Unless I just want to watch the Dean and Mary scene and see Ash (whom I love!).
I do believe that this the event that will get us Future drug addict/sex addict Cas. I think him losing his faith in God is what drives him off the deep end. I saw that in his eyes at the end, and I don't think Dean is that far behind. I thought that Cas was funny but not as funny as angel Cas. I love how he doesn't get Dean's similes and metaphors.
I don't know how I feel about Zachariah, he acts like a spoiled child to me. That has lost all of his parents attention and is trying to get it back. I think I may like Michael though. He was honest and didn't attempt to blackmail or bribe Dean. That makes him honorable in my book, Michael honestly wants Dean to say yes of his own free will and I respect that.
I do believe that Dean will say yes eventually because their is only so much they can do. I also think that Dean should say yes because they can strike while Lucifer isn't in his best vessel. They work it to their advantage and end the fight quicker. I really wish Dean would just say yes, I loved that Pamela tried to convince. I don't think Dean is realizing that people are going to die and they most likely will go to Hell but he can do something about it.
I still I am a SPN fan, I just need something better than that episode next week.
