I just wish that for a change that something would work out for me socially. I frankly don't know what the problem is anymore. I think I've been meeting the wrong people.
I don't know what avenues you've tried and I'm really grasping at straws here, but I suspect that it's tough to meet people when your primary social outlet is populated largely by people twenty years younger than us.
I haven't been trying with people 20 years younger than me. That is too great an age gap. Even ten years was pushing it back when I dated someone ten years younger than me. Although nowadays ten years younger than me is 30 so it would be much better now than it was back when I was 30.
I've tried the OK Cupid route like you and Aaron did. I recently met someone from there only about 4 years younger than me that on-paper should had every chance of working out, but it just didn't. She liked me, but didn't want to date me. It is very frustrating.
