Does anyone have any good recommedations for literature?
I'm in desperate need of a good book. The genre of the book doesn't matter, but if you could keep away from first-person novels then that would be awesome. I'm not a fan of them. >.>
Seriously....all I have is older books that have been read twenty different times and old skool Reader's Digest.

The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
Of Mice and men by John Steinbeck
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Paradise Lost by John Milton (this is an epic, so it's sort of difficult)
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
Just about anything by H. P. Lovecraft.
Contemporary
Lamb by Christopher Moore
A Dirty Job by Christopher Moore
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Good Omens by Pratchett and Gaiman
I don't read much contemporary fiction. Just about anything by Moore is good, though; he's so cracky and delicious. I just like those two books especially.
