How this works
A theme will be announced, and you will then have 2 months to create a fanwork and post it, if you want to participate in that round.
The prompt-a-thon runs twice a year, in May and November, each time for a duration of 13 weeks.
What are fanworks?
For this challenge, fanworks are: fic, art, vids, podfic
See the rules for information about minimum length of fic and vids, size/number of art, etc.
How many times can I participate?
As many times as you want. There are no requirements - participate as many or as few times as you feel like, with as many kinds of fanwork as you want, for each challenge. More is better, of course ;)
You may claim one prompt at first. If you feel you have the time and resources, you are welcome to claim more prompts later.
What about posting?
You may post your fic/art/video/podfic directly to the community, or you may post it to your journal, personal website, an archive, etc. and then post the link(s) here along with a header containing at least: title, characters, pairing (if any), genre/category, summary, warnings (if any). You can copy the contents of this textbox and use:

We also encourage you to post your fic to our AO3 collection and/or to Symbiotica. This will make sure that the fanwork is protected from deleted/locked journals :)
All stories posted directly to the community must be under a cut. Artwork more than 300x150 should also be behind a cut, with a preview above.
You can post at any time during the set posting period for the current challenge.
Can I submit a WIP?
No, any fanwork must be complete, or at least a stand-alone part of something larger.
Can I get an extension/post outside the challenge period?
The challenges run for specific periods. If you have made something for an earlier round (for that theme), or if you were almost finished, but just run out of time, contact us. Amnesty posting is granted on a case by case basis.
What about RPS/RPF?
They are permitted, but you still have to fulfill the requirement that one of the main characters is a Tok'ra.
What about prompts/plot bunnies?
There are some for you to use if you want to, but it is not a requirement at all, only meant as a help. As long as your fanwork matches the theme of the challenge, you can create what you want. The prompts/plot bunnies can be found here:
A - I, J - Q, R - Z, Any/OC, Jolinar and Lantash, Misc/Crossovers.
I only remember the names of some of the major Tok'ra/Goa'uld. Where can I find information about the minor ones too?
We have posts with some information about each (named) canon Tok'ra and Goa'uld on the show, including which episodes they can be seen in. You can find the information here:

- Weeks 1-2: people leave prompts.
- Weeks 3-5: anyone wanting to participate can claim one prompt.
- Weeks 6-11: if people feel they have the time and resources, they can claim any of the remaining prompts.
- Weeks 12-13: works may be posted at any time.
