Masterlist of Prompts, Round 8!
We got 161 prompts for this round. Mostly SG1 (122), but there were 25 for SGA, 3 for SGU, 2 for any show, and 9 crossovers with other non-Stargate fandoms/RPF.
Prompts are claimed on a first-come, first-served basis. Each prompt can be claimed twice. Claimed prompts will be confirmed by a reply comment and struck out by the mods on the master prompt list. Make sure to check the comment section before you make your claim(s), just in case we haven't gotten to it yet.
Prompts are (mostly) listed by the main Stargate fandom, then the pairings, and at the end are crossovers with non-Stargate fandoms. However the lines might be a little blurry in some places as some prompts could go either way or both.
The prompts are just that: prompts. You are free to interpret your prompt(s) in any way you wish, so don't worry if your fic/art/video doesn't line up exactly. They are there to give you a starting point and after that it's all up to your muse and whichever direction she/he chooses.
Initial claiming is open from December 3rd, 2015 and through December 17th, 2015 and you may claim up to two (2) prompts during this time. If you're feeling ambitious you may claim additional prompts after that, but please complete at least one of your original claims first. CLAIMING ENDS ON JANUARY 31ST, 2016 MARCH 1ST, 2016!
Of course, if you didn't claim any prompts during initial claiming, you are also very welcome to claim between December 17th, 2015 and January 31st, 2016 March 1st, 2016.
By claiming a prompt you are committing yourself to either writing a fic of at least 500 words, creating a medium sized piece of art, or make at least 5 icons. If you are doing a vid, it needs to be at least 30 seconds long. You may also record a podfic.
All fics which are Tok'ra-centric or have a heavy Tok'ra presence are eligible. Before you start recording please ensure that you have permission from the author, either by looking for a 'blanket permission' on their journal or directly contacting them to ask for permission. You may post your finished work at any time between January 31st and February 14th, 2016 March 1st and March 14th, 2016.

001. Any, any Tok'ra, add a Tok'ra character to an episode that does not have Tok'ra. How is the episode changed?

Any, SG-1 team (or AR-1 team, or Destiny crew) + Any Tok'Ra, The SGC (or Atlantis, or Destiny) encounters an alien species based on the description provided by this random generator: http://www.scifiideas.com/alien-species-generator/ . The Tok'Ra are either the ones to introduce the aliens and the Earthlings to each other or are there to make 1st contact alongside the Tau'ri. Everything else is up to you (the author) and the generator!
Stargate SG-1 - Any Character(s)
003. SG1, any Tok'ra, (From Tok'ra I, Teal'c: "According to Jaffa legend, the Tok'ra are the Goa'uld resistance. Their stated goal is the destruction of the System Lords and a change in the ways of the empire. They are hunted and despised by the Goa'uld." Jack O'Neill: "Yes! My kinda guys!") This was how the Tok'ra were viewed and showed in the first seasons we saw them - season 2 and 3. That is how they should have continued being seen. Please rewrite a later episode with this sentiment intact!
004. SG1, any Tok'ra, some archaeologists find a stasis jar and some hand devices and stuff. SG-1 goes to investigate and by accident the jar breaks and one of SG-1 becomes a host. The symbiote is Tok'ra.

006. SG1, Any, A girl is freed from life as a Goa’uld host, but when she starts to age she decides to become host to a Tok’ra and live again- and this time, have a real life.
007. SG1, any, A rogue Tok'Ra goes after the Trust on Earth, seeking revenge for his/her fallen companions killed by Hoskins's gas-attacks in "Endgame". The other Tok'Ra & the SGC try & stop the lone vigilante before he/she does more harm than good or unwittingly reveals the existence of aliens to Earth's public.
008. SG1, Any, A strange young man is on the run after (finally) suppressing the Goa’uld symbiote who has controlled him for so long. After discovering that his people are useless as hosts, the Goa’uld whipped them out and now he seeks refuge with the Tokra. But rather then having them remove he Goa’uld, he decides to try turning the Goa’uld into a Tokra. To the delight of the Tokra, it seems to be working. But boy, do they have some secrets to hide!
009. SG1, Any, a Tok'ra on the run crashes in to a planet and is forced to request help from the inhabitants there, who turn out to be Egeria worships. (Set before the whole Pangar incident)
010. SG1, Any, before their mass-extinction, the Asgard gifted their entire legacy to the "Fifth Race", the Tau'ri. But it turns out that they also left something for the Tok'Ra. Just what did the Asgard give to the Tok'Ra as a thank you for their fight against the System Lords?
011. SG1, any, the Stargate is revealed to the world when Apophis attacks Earth. When the Tau'ri meet the Tok'Ra the Tok'Ra Counsel is allowed to set up "embassies" all over the Earth, offering a chance of becoming a host to all of the world's sick and unfortunate.
012. SG1, any, the zatarc programming works on humans, but not symbiotes. So the symbiote should be able to take over, suppress the human and keep them that way until they can be cured (perhaps even by their symbiote). Rewrite Divide and Conquer assuming this to be the case. It certainly makes much more sense if you look at what else is said on the show - every time there is something mind altering, Sam and Teal'c are immune. Maybe even make the humans suspected of being zatarcs hosts to cure them.
013. SG1, any, what if they find some Jaffa in a stasis bubble and they were Jolinar's and they carry Egeria's symbionts and one of them is a queen.
014. SG1, any, when SG-1 met Garshaw for the 1st time she told them that the Tok'Ra had operatives on Apophis' ships that died when SG-1 & Bra'tac blew up two of his Hat'aks in the episode "The Serpent's Lair". What would have happened instead if the Tok'Ra operatives on the ships had revealed themselves to SG-1 and offered their help in stopping Apophis' attack on Earth?
Stargate SG-1 - Specific Character(s)
015. SG1, Apophis & his host, After being captured & tortured by Sokar, Apophis is too injured to retain full control of his host. He has to cooperate with his host for the 1st time to escape Sokar’s clutches.
016. SG1, Apophis, Daniel Jackson, Jacob Carter|Selmak, Jack O'Neill, Samantha Carter, Teal'c, Like in the prompt 021, but this time the action occurs after Apophis takes over the ship so that he, his loyal Jaffa and Teal'c (+/- the Replicator stowaways) are all present as well for the time-travel.
017. SG1, Charlie O'Neill|symbiote, an alternate version of Jack's son comes through the Stargate, his reality has been taken over by [big bad of your choice] and he's asking for permission to stay. He's also a Tok'ra.

020. SG1, Daniel Jackson, Any, Daniel thought that the timeline was restored to normal after SG-1's doppelgangers helped ensure Ra didn't take the Giza Stargate during the uprising. But then ANOTHER timejumper showed up, this time crewed by people who should have been dead. (Which Tok'Ra/Tau'ri is part of the time-traveling crew is up to you)
021. SG1, Daniel Jackson, Jacob Carter|Selmak, Jack O'Neill, Samantha Carter, At some point in the past Cronus finds an Ancient lab with schematics for a Destiny-class ship. After studying the design, he incorporates a number of the Ancient ship's features including an onboard Stargate, solar power collectors (as an emergency power source) and an FTL drive (as a backup propulsion system in case hyperdrive is down) into his flagship. These changes alter the events of the episode "Enemies" - when SG-1 (minus Teal'c) & Jacob|Selmak are stuck in a distant galaxy and are forced to hide Cronus's Hat'ak in the corona of a blue-giant star, Sam proposes they deploy the solar power collectors and try to dial Earth from inside the sun (much like what was tried in SG:U episode "Twin Destinies"). Unfortunately, solar activity and wormholes don't mix well and either the crew or the entire ship ends up being displaced in time (as indeed happened in SG:U "Twin Destinies"). Where (& when) they end up is up to you.
022. SG1, Daniel Jackson, Rosha|Jolinar, After touching the Quantum Mirror on P3R-233, Daniel finds himself in an alternative reality where he was never part of the Stargate Program and Earth is under the attack of Apophis. Unfortunately for him, when he gates to Earth General Jack O'Neill and other members of the “S.G.A.” assume he is a Goa'uld spy. And so Daniel finds himself in one of the prison cells deep beneath Cheyenne Mountain - right next to a captured enemy combatant, who claims to be Jolinar of Malkshur, a member of the anti-Goa'uld underground sent to help Earth…
023. SG1, Daniel Jackson|Merlin, Any Tok'Ra, After the events of "The Shroud" Merlin's consciousness does not leave Daniel's mind. The Tok'Ra of your choice is brought in to teach Daniel and Merlin how two minds can share a body in the long-term.

034. SG1, Hathor & any Tok'ra, Hathor succeeds in taking over the SGC and eventually Earth. The Tok'ra sends operatives to her court, and this is the first time SG-1 meets the Tok'ra. Maybe the operative is Rosha|Jolinar? Maybe Sam becomes Jolinar's host? Can/will the Tok'ra help free Earth? Do SG-1 join the Tok'ra?
035. SG1, Isis, the goddess Isis in mythology is described as a protector of women and mothers, as well as magic and nature. She was the friend of slaves, sinners, artisans and the downtrodden. Doesn't exactly sound like a Goa'uld - maybe she would have turned Tok'ra given the chance? Let Isis survive and get a host? Maybe she jumps into Sam or Janet, and becomes apologetic, leading them to question how much she is a Goa'uld?
036. SG1, Jack O'Neill, Harry Maybourne, Any Tok'Ra, AU for the episode "Paradise Lost". When Jack O'Neill & Harry Maybourne are transported to the Furling Utopia they find the society there alive and well, inhabited by humans, Furlings and other alien races. Among the paradise's denizens is (one or more) Tok'Ra - possibly even a Tok'Ra queen.
037. SG1, Jack O'Neill|Malek, Jack becomes Malek's host. I want to hear a plausible reason for this happening! Don't kill Malek!

059. SG1, Martouf|Lantash, Summit/Last Stand with Martouf alive and still host to Lantash. The Tok'ra have healed them and they are stranded underground with Sam. Some Sam/Martouf|Lantash would be nice for this fic too, but is optional.
060. SG1, Merrin|Tok'ra, Jack O'Neill, what if after suffering brain damage from the Ceremony of Averium the Orban girl Merrin is healed by becoming a Tok'Ra host? How would Jack react?
061. SG1, Qinta|Jolinar and Samantha Carter|Jolinar, Qinta (or whatever his name) wasn't as badly injured and SG-1 took him back to the base without knowing about Jolinar. Then when the ashrak finds him and tries to kill Jolinar, he is interrupted by Sam who shoots him. She runs up to the dying Qinta and the ashrak who is not quite dead topples her and grabs her gun and shoots her. Messy fight where Jolinar tries to move to help against the ashrak and all fight on the floor. Finally Sam kills the ashrak, but is badly injured. Jolinar jumps into her. What now? Presumably no one realizes at first but then Janet discovers something? Or does Sam/Jolinar escape first? Your choice!

Sam’s only hope now is to send a message to the Tok’Ra and ask them to help her escape off-world out of Landry’s grasp so that she might continue her efforts to free the galaxy from the Ori. Will the Tok’Ra help her? Who else will assist them (Teal’c perhaps?)?

SG1, Samantha Carter, rest of SG-1 team, Any Tok’Ra, while visiting a planet with a Hindu-derived culture Sam is declared by the locals to be a “Kumari Devi” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumari_%28goddess%29 ) and is taken away to become a host for the planet’s ruling Goa’uld who will arrive in a few days. The rest of SG-1 must work with their Tok’Ra allies to free Sam before it’s too late.
070. SG1, Samantha Carter|Egeria, According to Daniel in “Mobeus”, he was the only member of SG-1 to survive the failed first rebellion against Ra. But what if Sam survived too and was captured by Ra’s Jaffa? What if Ra then gave her as a host to one of his queens - Egeria? Can be either AU or an “addition” to canon (a.k.a.: what if having Sam as a host is the reason Egeria became Tok’Ra in the first place?).

Now Bynarr use the device to bring back Jolinar. Can she trick him again and escape - this time rescuing the others too?
076. SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, I want to see the Quest episodes with Sam host to Jolinar. How do they work together with Ba'al, a Goa'uld?
077. SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, Jolinar did not go to see Cassandra, instead she just went through the Stargate with the others, and escaped. Write her and Sam's story. Do they remain blended?

080. SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, season 9 or 10 AU. Sam is captured by Ori worshipers and is burned at an Altar of the Ori for her "transgressions" against Origin. Adria/a Prior/the Ori themselves restore her to life (as they did with Vala/Sallis in episode "Avalon, Part 2") but either intentionally or not the process resurrects Jolinar as well. Now Sam|Jolinar must find a way to escape the clutches of the Ori.
081. SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, SG1 finds a time travel device that send their consciousness back in time to their younger bodies, right before “In the Line of Duty” and Sam, still sad about Jolinar’s death, offers herself as a willing host.
082. SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, something goes terribly wrong at a point in time of your choice, and the only way to fix it is by using a machine which will send her consciousness back in time to July, 1998 (ca. timeline for "In the Line of Duty"). The catch? In order to fix the future she has to find a way to convince Jolinar of what's going on, convince Jolinar to allow her (Sam) full control of her own body so she can explain it to her team/General Hammond, and remain a Tok'ra host in order to prevent the catastrophic event in the future that was. Piece of cake, right? Not so much.
083. SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, the ashrak's attack leaves Sam & Jolinar in a coma and their condition is deteriorating. Soon after the incident however the rest of SG-1 travels to P7J-989 where they encounter the "Gamekeeper" & the VR pod-technology. The decision is made to place Sam in one of the VR stasis pods until such time that the S.G.C. finds a way to save her (Carter might not be able to access the virtual reality but the pod should keep her alive as it did with the residence of the planet for centuries). When does Sam & Jolinar wake up and who is there to greet them?
084. SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, the SGC had a sarcophagus and used it when they thought Sam would die (maybe the ashrak killed them outright instead of letting them suffer for a little while before Jolinar died)
085. SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, they survive the attack by the Ashrak, but the NID still manages to officially get 'custody' of them. They manage to escape during transport, but where do they go from there?
086. SG1, Samantha Carter|Jolinar, what if they were sent to the NID, but escaped on the way when the ashrak attacked? Now Samantha Carter and Jolinar are on the run on Earth, not just from the NID, but from the ashrak too.
087. SG1, Samantha Carter|Symbiote, What if Dr. Richard Flemming’s serum in “Nightwalkers” didn’t kill the cloned Goa’uld but just prevented them from taking over an unwilling host? So Sam still succeeds in foiling their plans when she injects herself with Dr. Flemming’s chemical but is now stuck with a symbiote in her head. Do the Tok’Ra remove it? Or can it be “converted” into a Tok’Ra with a combination of Jolinar’s memories & exposure to other Tok’Ra?
088. SG1, SG-1 team, Any Tok'Ra, an Ancient Roman urn is being auctioned off on Earth. The S.G.C. and the Tok'Ra believe the urn is a canopic jar dating back to Egeria's time on Earth and may contain one of her spawn. Sg-1 and their Tok'Ra allies are sent undercover to the auction to obtain the jar. Hijinks ensue!
089. SG1, SG-1 team, Svarog, Tok'Ra character(s) of your choice, It turns out that when Svarog's Hat'ak was "sent away" by the Sentinel of Latona an important Tok'Ra spy was on board at the time. Since the operative had vital and time-sensitive information, SG-1 and the Tok'Ra must do their best to rescue him/her. Where exactly did Svarog & his forces end up? Will SG-1 and the Tok'Ra be able to follow?
090. SG1, US President|Tok’Ra, The Goa’uld’s plan in “Divide and Conquer” works and the za'tarc(s) attack both the Tok’Ra delegation and the US President. Finding himself severely wounded and bleeding out on the gateroom floor, the US president agrees to become a host for one of the dying Tok’Ra (possibly Per'sus) next to him. What happens now?

091. SG1, Cameron Mitchell/John Sheppard, Cameron Mitchell|Tok'ra/John Sheppard(|Tok'ra), Cam becomes a host and now he has to figure out a way to explain it to his boyfriend, who just so happens to be in another Galaxy.

151. SGU, any Tok'ra, what if one of the crew members of Destiny was a Tok'ra? How would the communication stones work with two consciousnesses? Maybe no one knew they were Tok'ra before?

Crossovers
153. Crossover, SG1/Bourne legacy, the. Any, Loki. A cracky idea for a crossover with "The Bourne Legacy" and Stargate. Bourne Quadrilogy: they now have both brainwashed killers, brainwashed killers who then commit suicide (like zatarcs), and supersoldiers (brainwashed, doped, and/or genetically engineered killers with enhanced speed/strength/senses/intelligence) + combinations + evil conspiracy. What if: Loki is involved (for cloning fun, and genetical engineering). A Goa'uld (Amaterasu): she originally made the zatarcs of Stargate, but after the downfall of many of the Goa'uld, she fled to Earth and got involved making a different type of zatarc. With supersoldier-stuff added in, which she or someone else stole from Anubis, perhaps. Or just got the idea from him. Amaterasu (or other Goa'uld) of course has their own agenda, which you can pick freely. Lets, just for the fun of it, say the enhancement the of the supersoldiers of the Bourne movies are made with symbiote DNA. Either a drug like tretonin, perhaps, or with genetic engineering. Time for Stargate Command to find out. Maybe they capture one of the brainwashed killers/supersoldiers or maybe they find the data on them somehow. If they suspect a Goa'uld and Loki are involved, they will surely do something. This is a Tok'ra list, so we need some Tok'ra involved. I don't know if this type of brainwashing will show up on zatarc-detectors, but let's just pretend it does. Then Tok'ra can get involved to test the brainwashees. Or, you know, you can add in any Tok'ra you feel like. I don't care if they are supposedly dead or alive. Loki could have cloned them. Or cloned the ones that were killed. My only requirement here is that if you clone anyone, it has to be both host AND symbiote. Not sure if there is much of any plot, but there is a conspiracy (including a Goa'uld and an Asgard), to be uncovered. Since it is after the Goa'uld empire has started falling, and since this is a crossover, it should take place no earlier than 2002 (first of the movies in the Bourne quadrilogy). Probably no earlier than 2005 (eight season Stargate), since that would be late enough that it is clear the Goa'uld empire is falling.

Maybe even make the humans suspected of being zatarcs hosts to cure them.

These changes alter the events of the episode "Enemies" - when SG-1 (minus Teal'c) & Jacob|Selmak are stuck in a distant galaxy and are forced to hide Cronus's Hat'ak in the corona of a blue-giant star, Sam proposes they deploy the solar power collectors and try to dial Earth from inside the sun (much like what was tried in SG:U episode "Twin Destinies"). Unfortunately, solar activity and wormholes don't mix well and either the crew or the entire ship ends up being displaced in time (as indeed happened in SG:U "Twin Destinies"). Where (& when) they end up is up to you.

When they need to go undercover the Tok'ra queen suggests Daniel or Jack become a host and pretends to be a Goa'uld (or else they can't get to the device that helps them travel forward in time again, since the Goa'uld has taken it). The catch is that the symbiote Egeria offers is a young queen - and upon taking her first host she would go into a mating frenzy and use her pink breath to "catch her mate".

116. SG1, Samantha Carter/Martouf|Lantash, late season 5 maybe, shortly after Summit/Last Stand. The Stargate activates and they receive a Tok'ra IDC from a couple years ago. They decide to open the iris and Martouf|Lantash step through. Turns out he was on a mission with SG-1 around end of season 3 or so. In the main universe they all made it through the Stargate just before it was hit by an alien stasis weapon, but after that it could not be accessed. In the time line that split off, the Stargate was hit just as they stepped through. SG-1 had made it through, but the Stargate + Martouf|Lantash remained in the stasis field for 2 years. When the field disappeared Martouf|Lantahs had found themselves lying on the ground just before the Stargate. Thinking they had been stunned or something and the Stargate only just shut off, they just dialled up Earth again and sent their IDC.

151. SGU, any Tok'ra, what if one of the crew members of Destiny was a Tok'ra? How would the communication stones work with two consciousnesses? Maybe no one knew they were Tok'ra before?
152. SGU, any, the Destiny arrive on a planet with some stasis jar from when the Tok'ra were stranded there long ago. They take them back to the ship and when someone is sick or injured beyond what can fix, they make that person a host. The Tok'ra is a scientist and figures out a way of getting them home
Crossovers
153. Crossover, SG1/Bourne legacy, the. Any, Loki. A cracky idea for a crossover with "The Bourne Legacy" and Stargate. Bourne Quadrilogy: they now have both brainwashed killers, brainwashed killers who then commit suicide (like zatarcs), and supersoldiers (brainwashed, doped, and/or genetically engineered killers with enhanced speed/strength/senses/intelligence) + combinations + evil conspiracy. What if: Loki is involved (for cloning fun, and genetical engineering). A Goa'uld (Amaterasu): she originally made the zatarcs of Stargate, but after the downfall of many of the Goa'uld, she fled to Earth and got involved making a different type of zatarc. With supersoldier-stuff added in, which she or someone else stole from Anubis, perhaps. Or just got the idea from him. Amaterasu (or other Goa'uld) of course has their own agenda, which you can pick freely. Lets, just for the fun of it, say the enhancement the of the supersoldiers of the Bourne movies are made with symbiote DNA. Either a drug like tretonin, perhaps, or with genetic engineering. Time for Stargate Command to find out. Maybe they capture one of the brainwashed killers/supersoldiers or maybe they find the data on them somehow. If they suspect a Goa'uld and Loki are involved, they will surely do something. This is a Tok'ra list, so we need some Tok'ra involved. I don't know if this type of brainwashing will show up on zatarc-detectors, but let's just pretend it does. Then Tok'ra can get involved to test the brainwashees. Or, you know, you can add in any Tok'ra you feel like. I don't care if they are supposedly dead or alive. Loki could have cloned them. Or cloned the ones that were killed. My only requirement here is that if you clone anyone, it has to be both host AND symbiote. Not sure if there is much of any plot, but there is a conspiracy (including a Goa'uld and an Asgard), to be uncovered. Since it is after the Goa'uld empire has started falling, and since this is a crossover, it should take place no earlier than 2002 (first of the movies in the Bourne quadrilogy). Probably no earlier than 2005 (eight season Stargate), since that would be late enough that it is clear the Goa'uld empire is falling.
