Found a picture of the view I experienced on Tuesday evening when we wandered around the corner from my current hotel to the Banyan Tree. 60+ floors up the open air Vertigo bar was great fun and the view amazing - will definitely be back there before I leave

The view looked amazing, but I should have known better than to click on a link labelled "the open air Vertigo bar"--my heart started to thud in terror the moment I saw it!

It is an amazing place - the building is maybe 30-40 feet wide at its widest point, and maybe 20 at its narrowest. All that is between you and the edge is a waist height railing (as illustrated). Fortunately I have no real fear of heights...

The Banyan Tree, from talking to my colleagues, is meant to be one of the best spa's in Asia.
