Updates about "A Field of Owls."

I want to immediately thank every person so far that has taken the time to donate money, to own a copy of my book. There have been many that have helped me with donations and even others that simply said "If you email it to me now, I'll donate later," and did (though it never would have mattered to me if they hadn't). I've already had several ( Read more... )

Dear you,

I will readily admit that one of the downfalls of being a quick reader is that I miss a lot of details. But I'm fairly certain I never got a copy of the book. I checked the "donation received" email twice, and unless my eyes deceive (which is possible, considering at a mere 22 years, I already require glasses), I don't have a word of this book on my hard drive. So, if you could be so kind, explain what I am doing incorrectly, or send/resend/say, "Forget it, you're an idiot undeserving of reading my book." My email is elizcason(at)gmail(dot)com

Most humbly confused,
Elizabeth

P.S. Should you ever want to have some sort of book launch, or if you become huge and famous in the future, I have access to a screen printing setup at a graphic design place and will gladly crank out some promotional things. You'll just need a designer and a line on the "Thanks To" page dedicated to me. Kidding!

You're not a bother, goofy.

Also, I'm telling every single one of my friends that still reads to check out your book.

My winter break is coming up and I'm looking for some new reading material. Could I have a brief synopsis?

Also, I'll donate tomorrow after I pay my rent. :)

"A Field of Owls" is a dystopian novel about Tolson Ailes, a member of the Preservationalist society, whose job is to maintain and record citizens fighting to the death. Regulations are strict, expression is absent, and population control is the function of the Preservationalists. Tolson begins to experience sensations that are beyond his comprehension, and as he questions the reasons behind his feelings, he encounters problems of his own. Though Tolson only wants to live an isolated, peaceful life, he finds himself surrounded by the troubles with his brother, an official that is trying to capture him, a nagging urge to understand what he has lived for and the most menacing obstacle of all, discovering who he is in a world of uniformity and protocol.

I hope that this helps. It's as specific as I can be right now without giving anything away.
All I need is your email address.
Thanks!

Sounds good! I love dystopian novels. One of my favorite books is The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. I'm excited to read yours.

My email is cmwest2 @ ilstu dot edu. My donation will have to be postponed until tomorrow (I forgot to pay my rent today; oops).

...so I can't really help out with the donation bit as yet, and I happen to live all the way over in New Zealand, but if you don't mind sending it this far with no immediate promise of payback, I'd be very interested to read it.!
Ha, what a bastard of a proposal I've made. ^_^;
