I work until 9 and I am going to be busy after work. A friend from Bellarmine is leaving for Scotland (to move there, not visit) and tonight is her farewell (or farwell insome circles) get together. So I will be attending that instead.

Question: Why does it take the pharmacy with three techs and a pharmacist behind the counter half an hour to fill my Relpax prescription (which comes in a box of 6, so all they have to do is print and attach the sticker) when no one else is waiting? (I'm talking new paper prescription, refills I would have called in/requested online in advance) I know I'm not a special snowflake, but I do find this perplexing.

Sheer volume of prescriptions I suspect. For instance when a refill is called in by a patient they put in a pick up time and that is the time that we would shoot for in order to get it ready. The fact that it is an item that simply requires a label to be placed on it is not relevant as if there are prescriptions due at an earlier point in time they must be done first as they were likely called in first ( ... )
