My son saw his first boobies tonight.

To explain: he loves Avatar. Somehow he can make it through a long movie like that and love every minute. So I would figure i would try him on The Abyss, another long Cameron movie.

I tried two weeks ago and after about 40min he was done. Too much taking going on that he couldn't relate to. So this weekend I ( Read more... )

The perfect intro I'd say.

FYI, Ronin has on a couple of occasions brought up the subject of how to attract girls and be popular. He's not asking me, he's telling me what he's observed, like in Elementary school it helps to run fast (sports) but in higher grades being a football player is a real "people magnet" (his words). Being funny is also very good but being just only about video games isn't. Looking like a good student is not cool at all. I try to keep my input to a minimum although I did make sure we discussed different ways of being funny and how if it'll hurt someone's feelings it's not cool even if kids laugh at it. We also talked very briefly about it being wise to want to attract people who have the same interests as he does and not doing something he knows is wrong or doesn't like just to be friends with someone who acts like that. He did ask me if I thought it was okay if a girl a year older than he liked him. (there's a couple in after school care ( ... )

Just think on this: whatever breasts he has seen and gets used to seeing, that will be the "style/shape" he'll be into the rest of his life. So, what I'm saying here is that I hope they were decent looking and the kind that a normal (non-surgically enhanced) woman can realistically have? I worry about young boys and the fact that most actresses in movies (and porn) have fake breasts. It sets a dangerous precedent. The bar gets too high for the average women. Know what I mean?

Yep. Wanted him to see them in a different way. Not flipping through some late night tv or coming across something on NetFlix. :)
