for all the unmarried couples living together... if u guys gonna purchase a house make sure you declare an express trust lah.. dont fuckin lie to each other!! JUST DECLARE AN EXPRESS TRUST TO ALLOCATE WHO GETS WHAT EQUITABLE INTEREST!!!! dont be lazy! save your money to engage a lawyer in the near future when u guys breakup(which is very likely)

whats 'express trust' and 'equitable interest'?

express trust = a form of document/will/trust instrument between the parties that lays down the parties intention on how their 'shares' or 'interests' in a particular property will be dealt with when they pass on, break up etc

equitable interest = a kind of ownership in the land/property created by the circumstances and actions of the people involved, and can be supported in court even though you cant 'demonstrate' that you have legal ownership in it

when you get a house with your partner(mark) hahaahhaha, request for a declaration form and discuss on who gets how many % of the shares/interest in the house and put it down in the form then submit it...!!!!

otherwise, (touchwood) should anything happen, and no express trust has been declared, consultation fees is gonna be damn expensive....
