(oh! did i tell you i received my first sort-of responce? it was a small handwriten note that said "students may enter for free - but only one poem. ive returned your fee and two of your poems -thanks". so the publication didnt take my $10, AND kept one of my poems - so it wasnt quite a rejection, nor an acceptance - but it WAS HANDWRITTEN, and now i have my $10 back.)

hey - how do you know where to send your pieces to? I don't really know...I just sent a couple to Glimmer Train, because I know thm, but I don't really know other places.

writers market has everything. and also keeping an ear out for publications you know, like glimmer train. or even b'loit in farmington (altho i think they stop accepting in april?? not sure)
