Except my friend Tess and I couldn't be bothered, so we threw our (empty) bags into a ditch outside the exam hall and hoped no-one would steal them.
God damn it Mommamato, my stomach hurts from laughing.
I didn't know you guys had to store bags, though. Sounds like a good idea. Over at Monash, we keep our bags under our desks. >.> Seems pretty stupid. And it's really easy to cheat over here, which is nuts.

I hope no-one would try to cheat in a law exam though, because:
a) if you're caught cheating you not only fail your subject, you also can't practice law later in life - the Bar doesn't want to admit lawyers with a track record of cheating and lying and stuff because it has enough of a problem with the ones who are squeaky clean before practice and unexpectedly turn evil later.
b) they're open book anyway.
