I have to say I was really rather impressed when I saw Dyonisis the other time, when they opened the main stage - I bought the CD and it didn't disappoint. Additionally, they are rather photogenic.

That's just the problem. To justify the cost of £40+ to myself I would have to want to see (and not swan around the entrance hall) at least 3 of the bands.....actually probably 4, the 3 would be if I am a fan of each. This has not happened yet.

I do agree though the part of the acoustic set I saw was not bad at all. SBA were also great (even though they thought they were crap). That's two for £10. Oh The House of Usher didn't seem to know how to do 'unplugged' so not impressed there.

Hence the 'nice try but no thanks'

Ho hum off to the pub again ;o)

Aye. Reasonable maths.

Heh - after seeing them at the Spa, I can understand that. Some might suggest that they were pretty formulaic when it came to doing "plugged", too.

I suppose I'm enough of a not-a-goth that most of the bands are fairly new to me, so I'm discovering things anew. Though, that said, I've got the latest CDs by The Eden House and Zombina ...

Can't say I'm at all impressed by that line up, think I might be joining you in the pub this time.
