Here I go again...

Izzie’s eyes opened in the dark.  It took a moment for her to register where she was, and when her eyes finally pulled focus on Alex’s stubbled cheek, slack on the pillow next to her, she had the involuntary urge to check the position - or perhaps presence - of her clothing.

Mussed, yes.  Missing, no.

Relief came in waves as the memories of the ( Read more... )

Excellent work as always. This exactly what we (gizzie lovers) needed after that finale. I love how they both automatically know that the kisses meant nothing in the grand scheme of things because they both still love each other. Also love the simple things like George brushing his teeth just for her and how he's her George. It's the simple things that make this couple so great and you're always great at capturing that! Thanks for this lovely gizzie piece! It hit the spot!

p.s. Because LJ confuses me most of the time, I some how don't have you on my friends list, so I'm adding you now. I don't know how I was going Tom-less for all this time! ;)

Aww. Like Lexie said - I needed this as a follow up piece to the finale. (Which sucked)

Yeah, it did for us G/I fans...

...I mean, I still hold on to hope that they'll have a shot again, but if they don't have one on the show, I'll just have to retreat to the security of fics...

...which isn't too shabby, in the grand scheme of things...

Have you ever thought of publishing original fiction? Seriously. You have a knack for creating "moments" - the kind so wonderful that you wished it happened to you, and so realistic that you can actually imagine it happen to you. Great work and just the right balm for gizzie lovers after that finale.

That's very high praise. Thank you! I'm glad the storytelling touched you as it did...

I do have original fiction work in development...I hope that one day I will be able to get it put together in more than just the bits and pieces I have now...
