Tom Sez: Number Eight? That's a little dishonest. See, it's really a continuation of Number Seven, so you could call this Seven-and-a-Half.
No, since there might be more, it's not a half. Seven-Point-Two. Yeah, that's about right.
More? Wow. I'm really putting myself on the spot here, especially since you haven't even seen this one yet.

Great work as always. I'm glad the letter got Izzie to analyze her relationship with George and got the ball rolling for their relationship. But I gotta say one of my favorite parts was Izzie's comeback to Alex.
“Yeah, you prefer sad little boys,” Alex said after her.
“No, Alex,” she replied, not breaking stride, “If that were true, I wouldn’t be leaving you behind.”
Perfection! :)

I think that one sentence took a quarter of the writing time, no kidding - but it came out pretty good...

...I'm glad the 'lighter and brighter' bit reached you...I'd been straining to find a way to end the story, and it wasn't satisfying me, so I thought about bubbles - no kidding - and those adjectives fell out, and suddenly it connected all the dots for me...sometimes, emotional truth need to be stated simply...

I hope you write more for this story.

Excellent point about characters being thrown together...I made a conscious decision with this series that I would let them dance to that line between friendship and romance, get closer and closer, but have them back off (even to the point of chickening out)...it may be torturous, but it's important to let their sexual tension build...
...and you'll see that in upcoming chapters...

I wish the show would have done thta, just creeping realization over a slow period of time.
I love the little bubbles that show Izzie's burgeoning feelings for George.
Of course I adore the reply to Alex, that was brilliant.
I love the little teasing banter with Gizzie at the end.
You need to post this on the BGL thread on FF for all the people who do not know about this site.
You are seriously gifted.

I agree about the realization...I kinda wish that we were still talking about a couple that we were rooting for to eventually get together, not one that got together and broke up, and is in danger of never finding their way back...
I'm keeping the faith, but the uncertainty of it all...
