Treasure Island: Solar City

As many people in and around the bay area of California surely know by now, the man-made Treasure Island is hopefully up for redevelopment. I heard about the place years ago, on one show or another. Apparently it was built with the fill left over from creating the Golden Gate Bridge, and other developments. Its mostly been a military base, and

Aye, the world needs more places like this one!

I am curious to see the outcome of these plans, especially in regards of the commuting arrangement the designers came up with. It's quite unusual for Americans with vehicles to go anywhere without them :p

Aye, it would definitely be a learning curve for some. Perhaps they'd be forced to get used to taking mass transit everywhere. ^^
