Have you tried reading any of the info there to see if it helps? Other than that, I don't know what else to tell ya, I haven't done that yet. I hope you figure it out. Good Luck!

Go to: http://www.photobucket.com/ and create an account. Then upload your picture and copy the link into your Livejournal post.

From the looks of that site, you don't have an account. So, if you upload something it's there for everyone to use and you can't do a thing about it. With most pictures, that's fine - but I prefer control. Generally the URL length is insignificant anyway.

So yeah... I'm not forgetting Photobucket. Unless, there's something I've missed?

I have no pictures I want to hide; I just caught the part about wanting to put his pics on livejournal just like I did a couple of days ago. I had to ask Matt to put them up on his site, then I ran across this tinypic thing. Its instant, no sign-up (bonus) and if you're just doing one or two pictures and they're not classified, is the way to go. I was wondering about the advantage, if any, of having a tiny URL too. I think what spurred me to put "forget photobucket" in the reply was the fact that I had read photobucket on the tinypic page somewhere. There it is in the subject. As I say, for one picture on a public or friend view live journal, there's probably nothing you wouldn't mind others to see (others who are willing to dig through tons of other anonymous pictures just to find yours).

a) Photobucket

or

b) Tinypic, a Photobucket company.

Do enlighten us...we're having a duel!

On tinypic, by spitfire_mk1:
"From the looks of that site, you don't have an account. So, if you upload something it's there for everyone to use and you can't do a thing about it."

On photobucket, by halved_smile:
"Forget photobucket"..."Seems like the same thing, only ... you have a password and a username"

Sweet. Thankyou.
