Introduction
So as of yesterday I am officially going to be the 2010 ALT for the town of Tomiura 富浦町 in the city of Minamiboso南房総市 in Chiba prefecture千葉県 ~~!!
As most of you who know me are aware, I am immensely excited to be able to go back to Chiba! I am a Chiba fanatic!
I have a habit of lengthy posts, so here is a cut for your convenience!
So here is a map of my area "Minamiboso" Quoted from wikipedia:
Minamibōsō (南房総市 Minamibōsō-shi?) is a city located in Chiba, Japan.
It was formed from the merger on March 20, 2006 of the towns of Chikura, Maruyama, Shirahama, Tomiura, Tomiyama and Wada, and the village of Miyoshi, all from Awa District.

Tomiura Biwa society building!! Biwa is the town's "meibutsu" or specialty. In english its called a loquat... and supposedly we have them in the US O_O but I have never seen one here or know anyone who has heard of them. They are pretty tasty tho!
So a little about me. I am a 23 year old girl from Maryland USA! I graduated with a degree in Japanese language and culture from the University of Maryland and this will be my fourth trip to Japan!
I also studied abroad at Chiba University (in Nishi Chiba) as my junior year of college from 2006-2007.
I have passed level 2 of the JLPT Japanese proficiency test, but its been about two years since i've used it at all, so I am a little (a lot) rusty.
I have been working at a flowershop for the last two years and you want to see some die hard in your face customers then thats it! Insane peoples galore! but I would like to think its built my character and prepared me for dealing with less than friendly people.
Its about a month before I am leaving and I am hoping to chronicle my JET journey to help those that come after me in the program, as well as keeping my family and friends up to date!
