Silent ringtone!?

Can anybody else hear this silent ring tone loud and clear? It's meant to be only audible to kids, but I'm 24! It also appears to cost said kids £9 a week unless they cancel the service. Cynical, huh!

The idea is that, as you get older, your hearing gets more crap :-) So you can't hear high frequencies. So kids can hear things adults can't. So they're selling it to kids who want to be able to hear their phone in the classroom. Why they can't just switch their phone onto vibrate, I don't know...

How crazy. What's the point though 'cos it's not like you can answer your phone in class? Strange children! Anyway, even when I have my phone with a tone on I still don't realise it's my phone ringing... no point!

If it catches on like the Crazy Frog ringtone did, the high pitch could be the next chart topping single.

Cynical, exploiting phone companies? Surely not!

Silent ringtones - what a great idea. Actually here's a great idea. You know those vibrating wristpads that referees have (so their linesmen can contact them)? Why not give them out with phones - then all those annoying ringtones would disappear. I hope.
