Recently, I read something that I found quite intriguing; maybe it will also interest you. A magazine article that I read asserted that, as a general statement, it could be said that men, as a group, have stronger drives for sex than women. However, it also went on to qualify this more general statement by adding that about one-third of women have ( Read more... )

All in all a cogent and well thought out, through response; HOWEVER: however; your first sentence calls into question the value of all clinical research concerning the 'sexual' differences between men and women; but you then proceed to advance your own points by references to other reported clinical research. Interesting. Even with that being said, I should add that I usually share your guarded interpretations of such 'research'.

With respect to what I can report based upon my own real world experiences, I must agree with your assertion that women do seem to seek quality of sexual experience as opposed to quantity; and, further, that men do seem to seek quantity.

I posted this in the hopes of getting some alternative perspectives on the reported findings. Thanks for providing me with yours. I always value your counsel. [and no, I am not practicing false praise]

I'm weighing in with being ridiculously horny when I'm with Foxx. Like sex twice a friggin' day horny. But I think you know that of me.

I used to fall into the really high sex drive catergory all the time, and think that I would if I were not under as much stress as I have been for the past two years. Or if me and Foxx lived together, somewhere nice and private. ;)

So you can count me as one. I had an at-least-daily masterbation habit for a long, long time.

::laughs:: Opps. I thought another of my friends made this post, so maybe you don't know that of me. But yes, it's possibly true. I have to dissent with Sarah's ramblings, simply because she wishes to disqualify any validity of the research done. I'm always skeptical about full accuracy of any research, but any extensive research, whether sociological or scientific, always reflects some kind of general truth. Otherwise they'd have found it useless long ago, and stopped doing it.
