awww....at my SCV meeting tonight, the guest speaker was presented with two little nutcrackers- one dressed as a Confederate soldier, the other a Union.
They were SO CUTE!!! I want at least one of them for Christmas!!! (preferably Confed, but I'd take either) -
The Fair Today
Slept late this morning. Phil and I went to the fair in Winter Garden this afternoon and had a blast. He won me a huge stuffed dog (where on earth am I going to put this thing???). Wow. That's one word to sum up my birthday. It was FANTASTIC!! My parents, boyfriend, and I went to Savannah, Georgia- one of my favorite places in the U.S. We visited the Mercer house and the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist (totally awe-inspiring, trust me!! especially the statues of the stations of the cross). Actually, I didn't get to go fishing last night. It was too dark by the time Phil, my bf, came over. So we looked over an old newspaper from the 1800's that my family has saved this whole time, and watched some of a MSTie.
