I've been thinking a lot about lyrics lately, and it occurred to me that I do in fact have a bunch of favorites. Then I thought, "What the hell is my livejournal for if not random shit that comes into my head?" So here are some lyrics. NOTE: This isn't a meme, you don't have to tell me where the lyrics come from

I used to like Maroon 5 for their "Harder to Breathe" song, but now I'm really starting to detest the band. Nothing turns me off a band more than a world of angsty teenagers who say, "Oh my gawwwwd, this so reminds me of when I broke up with my boyfriend!" and think that every possibly song the band churns out is a testament to their personal lives. Well, actually that just makes me detest the angsty teenagers, but I find Adam Levine's voice rather annoying anyway, with that horrible, "She willllllll be looooooved. Yes, she willllll be loooooooved."

I was once watching a show on MuchMusic, (sort of the Canadian equivalent of MTV), where one of the VJs, (Ed the Sock), completely dissed the band and the "This Love" and "She Will Be Loved" music videos. He summed up my exact feelings of the band, only in a manner more hilarious than I could've ever put it.

I'm always on the patrol for new lyrics. In fact, that's sort of what interests me in music to begin with.

I really, really, really, REALLY, like Outkast, especially "Ms. Jackson." Great choices for lyrics, man.
