I actually called my state reps on the MD version. The State Senator is pro-equality. 2 of the 3 reps are pro. The third was a weasel: "It's not in my house yet so I can't tell you what my opinion is."
I'd love to think so, but I am wary. The country is still populated by a rather alarming number of ignorant douche bag bigots who are easily manipulated by the propaganda of the political interests whose agenda seems to be to limit as much as possible the rights of the individual as well as their access to education, health services, and anything else that would stand in the way of turning the country from the democracy it once aspired to be to the capitalistic oligarchy that it seems doomed to become.
Can we get one of Uncle Sam and .... I'm stuck. But yes, this one is hotter. When it is retired for gay marriage, we should use it for generally good things.
Saw a billboard in NYC this weekend which said: Don't like gay marriage? Don't get gay married.
My first thought was "Right on!" My second thought was "Hey! I'm not against gay marriage. How come I didn't get to be gay married?"

Anyway, it's too hot to stop posting. I'll have to find another excuse.
