The Paley is indeed in Beverly Hills, which is not inaccessible to me. I love Serling, even when he got a bit overboard. The story sounds...prophetic...

Yeah. The SyFy channel (which we all say should be called the SyFyLIS Channel) spent all New Years Eve and New Years Day running episodes of the original Twilight Zone. Sometimes edited so they could fit in more commercials for their damn wrestling shows. (Yeah, they run wrestling on a supposed science fiction channel.)
Serling had his faults, but he did one important thing. He opened up the territory. He proved that adults could watch fantasy and science fiction on TV. He made Star Trek and the vast growth of science fiction TV and movies possible.
By the way, he was born on December 25. He often said "I was a Christmas present that came unwrapped."
