Had a very emotional thursday. My retarded aunt died that I never met, so I decided to go to the funeral because my dad was having heart surgery and couldn't be there for it. it does, I believe that the people that take care of retards get past the awkward stage and see the person for what they're trying to be. even though retarded people can't communicate with the world as we do, the caretakers can still see personality, see their emotions. This one nurse said she took care of my aunt for 9 years. The nurse bought her one of those split necklace charms for one of my aunts birthday. The nurse wore one side and my aunt wore the other side. and she asked my uncle if she could be burried with the other half. I even started to cry.
