I haven't said anything about any SPN episodes in a while so I'll be quick about 3x08 and 3x09 then get onto 3x10 lol.

So 3x08, the Christmas episode. I am hugely impressed that they actually managed to get a Christmas themed episode out of this kind of show. And in a not-too-outlandish way too! Loved the flashback scenes (aww I think little!Dean's ( Read more... )

I pretty much agree with everything you've said on these episodes. I wasn't really a huge fan of the witches, but I don't think it was because of the way they portrayed them. I think it was because of the episode in general. It just took off in a totally different direction than it originally had and it didn't work for me. I think witches could work on the show, but it'd be neat to have something more like a huge coven of them or something.

And 3x10...holy cow. Amazing! That was definitely the best episode in ages. And, after thinking about it for a few days, I'd have to say the best of this season for sure. I've been missing the "feel" of what the show used to be in S1 and S2, and we finally got it back here. Thank goodness!

Definitely agree about 3x10 - I hope the rest of the pre/post strike episodes are as good!

Let's just hope the ratings go up! Although, would I be right in thinking the fact that the CW wants more episodes now that the strike is over, is a good sign for getting a season 4?

I'd think so, but I really don't know all that much about those kinds of things, so...*shrugs* I think things are looking pretty good for season 4 in general, though. Kripke seems pretty confident, I hear - more confident than he was last year about a third season.
