New Membership Rule

Unused accounts are no longer acceptable to request membership. If you have no intention of using livejournal other then to add communities to take others uploads, you will not be granted membership. Simple rule, if you don't follow you won't have your request granted. If you are going to create an account it should be used, daily and regularly; ( Read more... )

daily? really? a bit extreme, dont u think. not everyone wants to write something everyday.

I agree with anonymous commenter, daily is a bit too often. I'm very active on LJ, but I haven't posted anything for months that isn't locked.

For people to update daily is a bit too extreme, yeah. Just saying.

There really is no point in your complaining seeing as you are a member. It was a general comment on a reason someone should be using livejournal, being that they signed up. Even if you don't post openly it still shows whether someone is active or not. Unused accounts typically have 0 usage = this post.

I'm a bit confused with the wording, this just means new members will be checked for LJ use right? Like... old members are not required to do anything extra to stay?

Well but some of us are too shy to write something ... or we can't comment on everything ... It's hard you know and sometimes I also don't have time to post ... only during the holidays...

well you can make your posts "friends only" or if you are really that shy, you can make them private posts.
