There are a few questions that still linger in my mind about work... for instance,

If I wear knee-high stockings with a skirt that ends before the knee, is that more or less appropriate than wearing no stockings at all?

Less appropriate. Definitely.

Really cute, though.

Hmm, see, I would have been wrong. It's a good thing that I went with patterned tights instead. So, I guess no stockings is still better than nude fishnets, yes? I really need to learn how to dress like an adult, but the women at my work either wear pants or no stockings at all and I can't abide by no stockings at all at work. It just feels naked.

Probably not so appropriate. Somehow those few inches of bare leg are suggestive. Suggestive of what, I couldn't say. Just suggestive. Fishnets, too, regardless of color. Although between black and nude, I would say that nude would be the lesser of two evils.

I was sitting here trying to think how the women at the bank dress, and I honestly don't pay that much attention. Maybe because I'm by myself so much, I don't know. I know the girl that works with me in the drive-thru usually wears pants. As far as skirts and their paired stockings, I have no clue, though.

When I've worked at places that require work-clothes, I always start out being completely button-down and perfect, then I gradually introduce a few things here and there that are more "me"- I just don't go overboard.

If everything goes well at work for a few more weeks, I'm sure you could get away with it as long as you looked nice n' neat.

One, I have never met a pair of nude fishnets I didn't like. I think with a below-the-knee skirt, peep or closed-toe heels, and a pretty, worky shirt, it would be perfectly acceptable. As a matter of fact I am pretend-shopping for this outfit in my head right now and I might have to go a-hunting for it this weekend.

Two, although it inspires great fear, I enjoy the picture of you on the big frog on that other website. Just when I think you can't be any cuter, you show up in saddle shoes.

I wear stockings or leggings all the time for teaching. I haven't had any complaints yet. But I think that yes, for some reason that little bit o' leg showing DOES seem more suggestive than just leg.

Raechel, randomly reading your journal. Happy almost-your-birthday! I was there when Travis accidentally called you a week early. :)
