mandy_moon's amazing series of the species of the geological timescale has inspired me to get off my butt and start my own long-delayed series. So, here is the first painting in 10X: A closer look at my new home-- Pennsylvania's flora and fauna illustrated at 10X scale.

Oh, neat! I'm glad to have helped :)

Also, I'm a little surprised and interested in the minor differences of flora and faunae in PA versus New England. you'd think both environments are roughly the same, but I've only seen a stinkbug here once or twice. What is it about Philly that is so much more attractive to the bugs? Slightly warmed weather?

Technically Philly is in the subtropics, and I definitely noticed a difference in the winters from New England! The stinkbug infestation is apparently new within the past few years and the stinkbugs are spreading fast.

The problem of larger wildlife briefly crossed my mind when I invented this project, but I quickly dismissed it and decided I'd deal with it later. Groundhog will be hard enough.
