A friend of mine called me up today and mentioned that there is a game out for the PS2 that is all about dancing. The game apparently has a function where you can tell it how much you weigh and how many calories you would like to burn and it tells you when you have reached that ( Read more... )

get it!we have the DDR for our x-box and it's so much fun! and it really can be a great workout, especially when you get good enough for some of the harder routines. the best thing about it is how the time flies when playing. i usually sent my kitchen timer for an hour and by the time it goes off, i'm still way into the game and keep playing. one word of caution though, you might really piss off your neighbors if you live above anybody. it is a lot of stomping around and jumping. we live on the bottom floor and even still, i worry sometimes about how much noise we're making! and definitely get 2 mats so you can compete and dance together. and don't be discourage in the beginning as it takes awhile to get used to the directional arrows. good luck!

Yeah thats what I was told, that it is addicting! I am very eager to get going on it, but I am looking for the best deal!

A friend of mine that just recently started her weightloss crusade is going to go in on it with me, get one mat each and then we can play the game together or at home, since neither of our husbands would play with this game in a million years, we figured we might as well split the mats up! Most the time if we did play it would be with one another!

Have you used it for your exercise? have you noticed it helping at all?

the funny thing is, my husband loves it more than i do! he often plays it by himself and is much better than i am, score-wise. i look much better doing it though!

and i incorporate it into my exercise plan, but do not soley rely on it. some days i might make myself play for an hour to get in some cardio, other days i might play for 2+ hours even though i've already been to the gym. it's definitely gets you moving and any additional physical activity helps.
