Spirit Prison sounds worse than it actually is - for a lot of people, it's actually a really nice place, and people are free to leave and go elsewhere when they get their temple work done. For evil folks, the type we think of when we imagine that they will go to Hell, it's not such a nice place, but even they get a chance to repent and change and leave.
