Another Update Another...Year?

I'm not entirely certain how the holiday season flew by so quickly, but it seems that Christmas and the New Year have come and gone, and we're just about two weeks into 2014 now. Quite a bit has happened since the last time I updated ye olde LJ, and here's a quick rundown ( Read more... )

See, I was thinking I have the whole year to get good enough to make everyone scarves for Christmas gifts! Maybe even branch out into hats...

And thank you! I started back with Olivia in the jogging stroller this afternoon, so hopefully we'll be back at our previous pace in no time, and ready to move beyond even that.

But if I made scarves for Olivia and her cousins, it'd go a bit quicker than scarves for adults. Something to think about! Maybe I'll actually teach myself how to knit and start with scarves for all the kiddos.

I do have a small scarf collection, and most of them were made by my grandmom, and on the colder mornings, I use them while we're out getting our exercise!

Yeah, I definitely was not expecting to end up in surgery, but thankfully, I'm back at 100% and working on getting back on track with exercising, so that's good.

Aw, thank you! Rowan doesn't seem to look like my sister or brother-in-law, and they think he looks a bit like I did when I was a baby. I can't wait to see his little personality develop. Olivia is all Daddy in looks and all Mama in personality!

OMGoodness, what an adventure. Congrats on the new nephew. I'm glad the holidays went well. Oh My! I'm glad you're ok. I'm sorry to hear you went through that. ::hugs:: You'll get there slowly but surely with your goals. I have faith in you! :) I told myself I would learn to crochet if I wound up on bed rest this pregnancy; knitting wasn't too hard to pick up. I find it helps clear my head but I can't do it when I'm really tired. I lose focus and count. Love the photography blog! If you do a 5k I highly recommend something fun, they have all sorts of 5ks, such as a color run or neon run. It makes things more exciting and you don't have to run them either. Love the photos, you look great btw! :)

Hello, hello!

I am indeed recovered 100% from surgery and started this week with getting back on track, fitness-wise. A mile and three quarters kicked my butt yesterday, but I'm feeling better getting out and getting my body moving again. I was thinking I might do walking three days a week and add yoga on two or three of the other days, to make my body stronger and more flexible. My sister did a color run 5K last spring, so I will have to see if I can do that one this year!

I'll have to see if I can find some good online tutorials for knitting. My grandmom taught me to crochet about ten years ago, and I did okay with it, apart from my stitches always being too tight! I'd like to have a project that's not Internet-based, though, so I might give knitting a try. The photography thing is really enjoyable so far, though.

Thank you, Jfacers! I am recovered completely now, and hoping to NEVER have this problem again!
