QUESTION:

(Please I know this will require some time, thought and effort.... but I would really appreciate if you bothered to answer these.)

Is "Tales of A Librarian" worth buying?

What would YOU put on a Tori Amos compilation?

Meh. If you have the new songs on it and the rest of her albums, I personally wouldn't bother.

It is missing the big BFP tracks, like CALS, Talula & Hey Jupiter. It needs Raspberry Swirl. I would have put 1000 Oceans on it too. Mainly include most of the "hit" songs with a couple new songs and b sides. Would have been nice to see Merman and Take To The Sky here too. I'd most likely have done a double CD.

TOAL seems to have the wrong mix from the albums and if you enjoy the power behind the songs used, you won't appreciate the way she's really mellowed them down. Spark is the most noticable with that.

how dare you criticise the goddess, Bindy! All you ever do is post negative shit about her! Either shut up, or leave!

And no Jawn don't buy it - unless you can get it for less than the cost of a postage stamp & an envelope.

To answer your question of 'what would I put on a Tori Amos compilation' - the answer is, 'a drink'. It would make an excellent coaster.

I love TOAL, though I’m as biased as they come. (sorry for invading your journal… obsessive Tori freak here). Her remake of Sweet Dreams is pure camp and I love it! “Who’s your Daddy!” Beautiful!

Fav comp…

Honey (My Sweet Garage Mix)
Father Lucifer (Silkscreen Mix)
Hey Jupiter (Dakota Mix)
Sugar (the original)
Cooling
Butterfly
Siren
Mainline Cherry-Ambient Spark
Raspberry Swirl (Scarlet Spectrum Feels)
Jackie’s Strength (Wedding Cake Club Mix)
God (The Dharma Kaya Mix)
Blue Skies (Rabbit in the Moon Mix)
