So I'm going through my old files for classes I had ages ago and found this short story that I did back in April of 2007 for my second semester of English 101. The assignment was a monologue and this is basically the story of my second laptop, Cheng, from the moment of his order until I got him.

Was Cheng a good laptop? (And was he as cheery and cute as he sounded?)

Thanks. And yeah, he was good and cheery and just ADORABLE...for the three, maybe four months I had him. Sadly, he suffered from severe heat stroke and I had to return him. In exchange, I got Victor who, two years later, suffered the same problem and was finally pronounced deceased last month after a long and arduous battle with overheating.

All my laptops eventually succumb to overheating. Damien did, Cheng did, Victor/Dean (renamed after a complete wiping of his systems) did, and my current laptop (which was my spare...) Castiel is/will. I'm trying to save up for a new laptop (might break down and get a desk top, dunno) and it likely will suffer the same fate as its fellows.

But yes, back to the original question, Cheng was a very good laptop. Until he died.

Ohh nooo! Poor babies! :,(

There's no way to get them a fan? Do you use the compressed air pumps to clean out the vents and keyboard of dust every so often? (Those're only like ten bucks. Much simpler, and worth a try.)

Btw, have you tried the melatonin yet?
