I heard it rumored that this meme is being run by a sleazy self-publishing company in an attempt to get people to link to their site (by posting their results) and thereby get themselves a higher Google ranking. No idea if there's any truth to that, but there's certainly no rhyme or reason to which authors it tells you you write like, as far as I can tell.

Yeah, I left my results up, too. Like I said, no idea if it's actually *true* that it's a scam, just something I heard.

agreed. I put in some text from something very dry and non-fictiony I wrote and got Margaret Atwood. I put in some of my vivid imagery free-style poetry and got james joyce. it's a piece of crap.
