So I'm not happy with our bedroom paint color. These two pictures are pretty close to what it looks like:

Hi Tanya -

Well, I meant it when I said I really liked it last time. I think it's a subtle tonal backdrop to a room that can be decorated in blues, light taupey creams, taupes and whites. I'd go to accents for more color - on the walls with prints, mirrors, tapestries in rich colors, on the bed with pillows in tonal blues and browns and creams, and some stripe and stylized prints. Lampshades, side lamps, throw rugs, etc.

Anyway, definitely change it if you decide you really don't like it! But I do!

I think you are right. I'm gonna keep it for now and see if adding accessories helps add a bit more life into the room. :)

Hm, my only other comment is that you could go for a paint color deeper (if you do go deeper) and with more warmth to it to bring out the wood (but not too warm, then it'd clash). But I do still like it as is.

I can see what you mean about the color being too light/neutral. It really doesn't look bad & you could probably dress up the room with color through bedding, pictures on the walls, curtains, etc. but I think if it were me I'd probably prefer a slightly warmer/deeper color. Maybe more of a cream, or something?

Maybe you should try to work with it for awhile & see if it grows on you before you re-paint the whole room...?

Let us know what you decide!

I'm not sure what to do. I don't hate it, but I don't love it. I do like the color alot.. just the furniture doesnt stand out as much as I would have liked. I also don't want to buy curtains, or accessories if I am going to change the color.. so I am torn.

Hmm.. I guss I will obsess over this some more.

Yeah, that makes sense about not wanting to buy accessories for the room if you're going to change it.

What does Chris think? Or is he like Jason - "I dunno...it's fine I guess..." :P

Chris likes it, but said if I really hated it he would support my decision to repaint (ie.. not make fun of me.. but not necessarily help me).

At this moment.. I am leaning towards keeping it for awhile and seeing what accessories I could get.
