Snagged a couple of the dog ones. So true. I'm always rescuing animals and keeping them or finding them new homes. I get my babies off the street, though, I've never been to a shelter- I don't think I'd be able to bear it. I'd want to take every single one home and would probably collapse from the anxiety. We have two dogs who were rescued from the street, my older dog we adopted as a puppy, her mother's owners had an ad in the paper, she's the closest we've come to "buying" an animal. All my cats are strays or born of past strays I've taken in. I can't bear the thought of all the mistreated and homeless animals in the world, let alone the mistreated and homeless people. I hate the world. I guess all we can do is do what we can to try to make it better.

To true, I know there are thousand upon thousands of homeless pets out there. I've adopted 2 and I'm trying to share with my friends the importance of taking in these animals. The 2 I've gotten have been the best dogs and they are sooo grateful.
