I just had the cutest ESL exchange, and after working in the Language Learning Center for 2 years, I have become desensitized to most cases of cute ESLisms. Yeah, that is, like, totally hella fuckin' cute. You are the raddest and they were like, majorly macking on you, no doubt, y'know? Diggin' on the ESL students like an old soul record, woooot.

I like being able to say things like that to you and to have you understand them. That is something that the UK-educated rest-of-the-English faculty have yet to do. For that reason (they are getting fewer and fewer), I like having grown up in our teenage-by-comparison country, far away from buggery like "I fancy you", "You're taking the Mickey out'a me!" and (the most bewildering) "Sorted."

Sha! for rilla.

Also, in case it was phrased awkwardly, I don't think I was being hit on, I said they were (presumably) gay because the Vietnamese guy is a totaly Mary, and because the Japanese guy I saw at QFC on broadway at 2 AM shopping for groceries with his much older, white boyfriend (a random encounter which has flavored our subsequent exchanges with a lot of awkwardness). Not that I wouldn't be mackin' up that shit given the chance, Yosuke is one fine bitch, and if it weren't for scowling sugar daddy with all them temptin' benjis I probably would have already tried to get up in that. Holla?

Kris, I miss you and your lyrical gymnastics. You phrase a funny on the fly like no one else i know. If I wind up moving to Bangkok this summer, which is looking more and more likely, I quite insist that you come visit me. Sha?
