OK WTF
Prompted by a run-in with one of Pete the 'Pede's smaller (yet still just over an inch long) cousins/siblings, I did a little googling on my roommate.
NOT! This is what Pete's face looks like. Which is remarkably better than what his whole body looks like.
Unfortunately, I found out that House Centipedes, Pete's species, thrive on common household bugs, including silver fish and all the other creepy crawly things that live here. They like to come out at night to eat bugs. They follow baseboards and because of their long legs and sturdy bodies, they can move quickly, which makes them ALL THE MORE FUCKING CREEPY. But they rarely bother humans. So I guess he's actually beneficial. I just don't like looking at him.
To counter them, I have included a picture of a pygmy marmoset. I saw one at the zoo on Friday. HOW CUTE IS THAT FACE. And they fit in the palm of your hand! Agh! The cuteness!!
On a side note- I have renewed my addiction to 24. Like whoa.
