The plants for Herbology keep on getting more dangerous. I had to stop by the Hospital Wing today to get some cuts healed. I s'pose I should be used to man-eating plants by now.

Things are going great at Hogwarts. Thanks for the extra socks you sent me. The castle is getting colder everyday. I shared some of the fudge you made with Alice and Julie--they thought that it was brilliant and both begged me for the recipe. You should feel really proud because, as far I know, both of them hate cooking.
What's so unusual about me writing to my mum so much? I just miss you guys is all. To answer your questions, yes, I'm going to come home for Christmas break this year. I'm not planning to spend it at Hogwarts or anyone's house, though I might have to make a few trips into Diagon Alley to grab some more things for Potions. Don't worry, though, I can apparate now so you and Dad don't need to drive me. I know you guys want me to start learning how to drive, but there's not much of a point if I can apparate everywhere. And don't say it'd be good for me to find a nice Muggle girl, because I'm too worried about exams and other things for that right now.
Speaking of other things, there have been some rumors going around. I wouldn't worry about it if I was you. Because you guys as Muggles, you should be perfectly fine. Just to err on the safe side, though, I wouldn't open the door up to any strangers. I think the Ministry is going to start offering protection Charms for houses--you know, sort of anti-burglary stuff. Want me to sign yours up for it?

PS: I'm enclosing a book that I bought for Tabitha about wizarding fairytale. Theo should enjoy the biting teacup I added in--just make sure she doesn't show it to the Muggle kids like she did last time. Thanks.
