I'm glad the House bombed the bailout. It was less of a bailout for the economy than it was for those responsible for creating the crisis.

I agree, it is difficult to support such a bail out. As the industry did cause this issue. However at the same time, it is needed as if this part of the industry collapses then our economy will as well. Our economy is a credit based economy.

I agree with obama on this one 100%. We should help the industry but DO NOT hand them a blank check with no strings attached. severe over site will be needed, as this is an INVESTMENT in the economy, and once they get back on their feet, pay the investors back.

Its not a simple "heres the money kthnxbai" it needs more time. But time is one thing we cannot afford. To find this perfect balance will be the chalange that we cant afford to fail.
