This may seem weird, but due to various facebook stalking efforts in the recent weeks, I must ask if the name of the guy talking in the first panel is Mario?

Yeah! I'd be more flattered that you recognized him if he didn't have such a distinct image.

The only weird part about it is you refer to them as efforts. Internet stalking isn't so weird, but trying to kind of is.
