I think it's a great idea... or for real serious TATE fans the scenario could go that the elevator doors open, and when Tony looks up he sees Kate and twin girls (at the age born in early 2006) and Kate could say "We're home."

Rewatched it and...I gotta tell you, I still miss Kate on the show. I'm secretly hoping they'd cameo her as a ghost of Xmas in tonight's Silent Night ep, how pathetic is that, huh?

In Twilight, KAte admits (even for kidding but was she, really?) that she could see herself married to a guy like Tony...

And I love your idea. That'd be so sweet...

Yup. I don't think I'll have time, but thank you. I have finals this week, and then over a dozen fics promised for Christmas.

Ya know, for me, the worst part of the end of season 2 is that Kate dies. We all know Sasha Alexander wanted off the show, but killing Kate is just so... final. :( And it's hard for me to watch the early season 3 episodes with Ziva (as much as I love Ziva now), especially "Under Covers," because there are so many moments that I keep thinking, "Kate would be perfect here!"

you know I feel exactly the same. And the undercover with ZIva I can't stand because I always hear Kate telling Gibbs in Reveille (season 1):

Gibbs you're making me nervous. Scariest scenarios are popping to my head like you're... here to fire me or... tell me I'm going undercover as Dinozzo's wife...

And somehow, there are a lot of things they made Ziva do that are just... what they wanted to do with Kate (or originally meant for Kate) and couldn't thus they transfered it to Ziva. That bugs me 'cause it means somehow Ziva = Kate's next generation or Kate's upgraded of sort...at least in early season 3, IMHO...

It doesn't have to be Tony. It can work just as well with Gibbs or Abby, hell, even McGee. Any of the well known pairings on the show (Kibbs, Tate, McKate, Kabby) it can work with. Remember, it was 5 am when I wrote this - kinda sleep deprived!
