Schmap wanted to use one of my photos a couple months ago. However, I had to tell them that the photo that had chosen for their Washington, D.C. page of the "Washington Monument" was actually an obelisk I took in Charleston in Washington Park. :-D

send them a letter notifying them of the copyright infringement. if you're feeling ballsy, include an offer to license your image at a reasonable fee (in the ballpark of $200-500)

They ask your permission, it's just he's having the same reaction I did when the mail showed up asking if they could use a photo.

I told them they could use it. Wasn't a great photo IMO anyway. Is this going to be the next Foder/Frommer?
